Founded in 1957, Pacific Western Transportation (PWT) is the largest privately-owned passenger transportation company in Canada. Today PWT offers comprehensive transportation services and solutions across the country, with over 5000 employees and numerous business locations. Our operations are separated into four divisions: Motorcoach, Employee Transportation, Student Transportation, and Transit. PWT’s varied operations are unified by a company-wide commitment to the Core Values first established by our founder R.B. (Bob) Colborne.
At the heart of these core values is an unwavering dedication to customer service and safety, as supported by our Safely Home brand. At PWT, our people are our greatest asset. After all, it’s our people who safely transport our passengers to where they need to be. In all of the urban or rural communities we serve, PWT’s employees bring our Core Values to life, day in and day out. Our Ontario office was incorporated in 1989.
WHY CHOOSE US?
When you choose Pacific Western, you can be sure that each vehicle has undergone enhanced protocols for sanitizing and disinfecting, regularly scheduled maintenance, and has been subjected to the most rigorous technical examination possible. Our obsession with safety and technical excellence is your best guarantee of a trouble-free trip to and from your chosen destination. Our status as being the first bus company in North America to have their entire fleet outfitted with seat belts is a testament to our culture of Safety.
We also operate only late-model equipment. We maintain our equipment with our own mechanics in our state-of-the-art Mississauga, Ontario Maintenance Facility. All mechanical staff attend regular training courses and seminars, so they are kept up-to-date on the latest environmental, technical, and vehicle safety issues.
Pacific Western is the most capable company when it comes to replacing non-serviceable vehicles, having at its disposal 120 additional vehicles to assist in any situation.
Should a coach experience mechanical problems, our driver contacts our 24-hour Operations Centre immediately. From here, we manage the situation and make arrangements in order to ensure your group is moved as quickly as possible.
Our record for emergency response time is proven by being considered the company that is the primary responder for emergency situations at Lester B. Pearson International Airport.
The foundation of our philosophy for customer service lies in Pacific Western’s belief that we are in the business of hospitality and not simply in the business of transportation. This belief and definition determines how we approach the recruitment and training of our staff and the delivery of customer service.
The most important asset any company can have is its front line staff. We invest money, resources, people and time to create a workforce dedicated to servicing you, our customer.
Located at our Administration and Maintenance facility is our Operations Centre, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This ensures an On-Duty Manager is on the premises at all times.
Should circumstances requiring service extensions or alterations arise, we can be contacted 24 hours a day. Our On-Duty Manager will take the necessary action to guarantee uninterrupted service.
